Phyllis Inmahn

Her beginnings are a bit fuzzy, but the prevailing theory is that Phyllis Inmahn is originally from Hirsute Springs, Maryland. She has parlayed her facial growth into a successful career in entertainment, and has been featured guest clown and Femme Barbu, (Bearded Lady) in many of the world's leading circuses, as well as being one of the original members of "Chicks with Whiskers," a popular barbershop vocal ensemble.

She is currently a wandering minstral who writes and performs much of her own material, accompanying herself on an instrument of her own devising, which she assembled from a hair dryer motor, the carburator from a '57 Chevy, and her great-grandpappy's concertina. Her act holds a unique place in the genre of sideshow or, as she prefers to call it, "phreaquin" performance art. She possesses the admirable quality of being able to poke gentle fun at both herself and her audience while maintaining an aura of dignity as well as a certain je ne sais quoi.

Ms. Inmahn's vocal talents have provided her with many opportunities to do cartoon voice-overs. The likes of Dis-Me Studios and Warn Her Brothers have benefited immensely from her ability to imitate characters ranging from Elmer Fudd to Felix the Cat.

Her vocal resemblence to Betty Boop is so uncanny, she was short-listed to sing the "Rock-a-bye My Baby" track on the Cabaret4Choice™ CD recording. She also personally coached Veronique Cyphyre in the role, to ensure that the live version of C4C™ would provide the listener with the full range of nuance and subtlty that the characteriztion demands.

Phyllis wishes it to be known that although she is an internatinally acclaimed artiste, she is really just regular people. Any given summer day might find her strolling down Venice beach, enjoying a Cherry Garcia ice cream cone in the company her leash-trained pet tarantula, Spidey, who is named after her favorite cartoon character.

The C4C™ project appealed to Phyllis on a number of levels, the most significant being that choice should always remain in the hands of the individual and firmly out of the grasp of "dub"-iously elected sons of previous presidents.
